Thanks to a bold vision and a warm, family-run atmosphere, the hotel quickly became a local landmark.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"305\" data-end=\"617\">We have watched Val Thorens grow, evolve, and become the highest ski resort in Europe, while staying true to our identity and our connection to nature. The early years in Val Thorens were challenging \u2014 the climate was harsh, snowfall was immense, and temperatures dropped to -30\u00b0C in January.
